Racing clouds and grass in the Dutch North sea dunes

The North Sea is often stormy, and the clouds race in the sky while the grass that grows in the dunes moves in waves. Photo was taken with Nikon's 14-24 mm f 2.8 and D700.

Young and pretty on a bicycle in Amsterdam

She was young, pretty, and self-assured, bicycling through Amsterdam. The image of this beautiful city, I captured the shot just by chance, as the light shone on a part of the bycicle-path. I used my Nikon D700, and converted to black and white using Silver Efex.

Ilha Grande, off the coast of Brasil, has wonderful nature spots, and the beaches on its northern side are world-famous, in particular the beach known as Lopes Mendes. To reach it you have to either take a boat or make a long walk. We decided to walk, and this is a view from the path leading to Lopes Mendes. It's shot with Nikon's amazing 14-24 f 2.8 mm, and my Nikon D700. The lens is heavy and bulky, but the quality makes it worth to lug it around!

The bird, an egret I guess, seemed to be enjoying the day, on a rock overlooking a beautiful bay. Perhaps he was waiting for the fish? The picture was taken in Ilha Grande, in Brazil.
